We're are proud to announce that Australia will be pioneering a new format of MMA Coaching Certification starting early 2021.
These courses will not only enable those who currently specialise as either ground or stand-up coaches the opportunity to become accredited in their chosen field of expertise but also allow coaches/instructors from other martial arts such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Kick Boxing, and Muay Thai the ability to transition into MMA and become recognised and certified through the world governing body of our sport- IMMAF
President Richie Cranny who pioneered this concept said
"At last our sport can now embrace talented coaches from other combat sports and recognise them for what they bring to MMA rather than exclude them because of what they lack. It also takes decades to become perficient in all aspects of MMA, which means we will never reach our sports true growth potential because we're putting too much burden and expectation on the next generation of up and coming coaches.
Cranny who became the Chairman of the newly formed World Coaching Commission late last year is in constant contact with some of the best coaches in the world, discussing and implementing ways to improve coaching standards and creating better opportunities for current and future coaches.
With boarder restrictions here in Australia finally being eased, dates will be be announced shortly, with Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth being the first cities to host.
Courses will be run over two days (Saturday and Sunday) with both courses being run over the weekends and pre course online modules to be completed before attendance.
We will be posting details of the first course locations and dates in the next couple of weeks.
